Bringing Back the Natives Garden Tour

As part of the annual San Francisco Bay Area Bringing Back the Natives Garden Tour—an event created to raise awareness about using native plants in home gardens—in May 2016 I coordinated and hosted a tour of the Native Plant Garden in Dimond Park in Oakland, California. Over 300 community members participated in the event, where they had the opportunity to ask plant-related questions and see the bounty of ecological-based gardening.
